Privacy Policy

Swipe Life is a game for iPhone made by an independent developer ("we", "us"). This page explains what the app stores, what it never collects, and how the third-party services it relies on handle data.

The short version. Swipe Life has no accounts and we run no servers. We never see your name, email, contacts, photos or location. Your progress lives on your phone. Ads and purchases go through Apple, Google and RevenueCat under their own policies, described below.

What the app stores on your device

Swipe Life saves your progress locally on your iPhone: the run in progress for each deck, your best weeks, legacy points, unlocked card packs, whether you have seen the tutorial, and settings such as sound. This data is written to the app's own storage and never sent to us.

Like most iPhone apps, this local data can be included in your device backups (iCloud or a computer). Those backups are controlled by you and by Apple's privacy policy. Deleting Swipe Life from your iPhone deletes its local data.

What we collect

Nothing. We do not operate servers, run analytics, send crash reports to ourselves or ask you to create an account. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, precise location or device identifiers.

If you email us for support, we receive whatever you choose to send and use it only to answer you.

Third-party services inside the app

The app uses a small number of services to sell decks, show ads and keep leaderboards. Each processes data under its own privacy policy.

ServiceWhat it does in Swipe LifeWhat it may receive
Apple App Store
Apple privacy policy
Handles the one-time purchases (remove ads, deck packs) and restoring them. Your payment details and Apple Account, handled by Apple. We never see payment information.
Apple Game Center (optional)
Apple privacy policy
Leaderboards for the longest run in each deck, and achievements. Your Game Center player ID, nickname and scores, only if you are signed in to Game Center on your iPhone.
RevenueCat
RevenueCat privacy policy
Confirms purchases with Apple and unlocks what you bought. An anonymous ID generated on your device, the purchase receipt, device model, iOS version, app version and IP address. No name or email.
Google AdMob
Google privacy policy
Shows the ads in the free version: between runs, and the optional ad that revives a run. Ad requests include your IP address, device model, iOS version, coarse location derived from the IP address and how you interact with ads. Your advertising identifier is included only if you allow tracking (see below).

Ads and tracking

The free version of Swipe Life shows ads. After your first run ends, iOS asks whether Swipe Life may track you across other companies' apps and websites. This is Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt.

  • If you choose Ask App Not to Track, the ads are non-personalized and no advertising identifier is shared. The game is identical either way.
  • You can change your answer at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
  • Buying Remove Ads removes every ad and the app stops requesting them.
  • Rewarded ads only play when you tap the button that offers them.

Sharing your endings

When a run ends you can share the ending as an image. The image is created on your device and handed to the iOS share sheet. Where it goes is entirely up to you and the app you pick there.

Children

Swipe Life is written for teens and adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; as described above, we do not collect personal information from anyone. If you believe a child has provided personal information through one of the third-party services listed here, contact us and we will help you reach the right party.

Your choices and rights

  • Delete your data. Delete the app to remove everything stored on your device. Game Center data is managed by Apple in Settings › Game Center.
  • Ad preferences. Decline tracking in the App Tracking Transparency prompt or in iOS Settings. You can also reset or limit your advertising identifier in Settings › Privacy & Security › Apple Advertising.
  • Access, correction, portability. Because we hold no personal data, a request to us returns nothing to report. For data held by Apple, Google or RevenueCat, use the contact routes in their policies linked above. We are happy to help you find them.
  • Selling or sharing. We do not sell personal information. If you allow tracking, the ad network's use of your advertising identifier may count as "sharing" under some laws, such as California's; declining tracking stops it.

Residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and US states with privacy laws have additional rights over data held by the third parties above. Those companies act as independent controllers for the data they receive and describe your rights in their own policies.

Changes to this policy

If the app starts using a new service or collecting something new, we will update this page first and change the date at the top. Material changes will also be mentioned in the App Store release notes.
